     High blood pressure

     High cholesterol or blood clots

     Cancer

Tofacitinib is composed of lactose, so if you have lactose intolerance, tell your doctor. Your blood tests will evaluate your condition whether this medicine is suitable for you or not.

Your rheumatology team will also check you through blood tests once you start treatment. If your red or white blood cell count is too low, your treatment can be halted until it improves.
